Feeling Like Doing Nothing ? I Can Relate.

Old self-portrait from 2020.

Are you feeling like doing nothing ? It's a common feeling in today's fast-paced world where we are constantly bombarded with tasks and expectations. We live in a society that glorifies busyness, but in reality, it's important to take a step back and prioritize self-care.

Social media only adds to this pressure, with endless scrolling leading to feelings of emptiness and disconnection. It's easy to get caught up in the comparison game, constantly measuring ourselves against others' highlight reels.

But here's the thing - it's okay to take a break. It's OK to slow down, and focus on what truly matters to you. In fact, it should be encouraged. Taking time for yourself is not selfish; it's necessary for your mental health and well-being.

Sometimes, that’s what I do. Sitting still, in the silence. Trying not to feel guilty living these moments because this is when most of my ideas come easily, without even making a huge effort to think.

So if you're feeling overwhelmed and like you just can't keep up, remember that it's OK to say no. It's OK to take a break from the constant hustle and bustle of everyday life. Listen to your body and mind, and give yourself permission to rest and recharge !
