I have been posing for Studio Marguerite, a French clothing brand, for over a year now. And let me tell you that it’s great to keep a long-term relationship with a brand, especially with the brand designer. Her name is Désirée and she is the cutest ! In an interview, she lets us walk through her journey…

In a few words, what led you to create your clothing brand ?

Studio Marguerite was born through my desire to make things better in an over-polluting industry, offering colored clothing, well-made, and designed to last.
I also wanted to enhance local know-how, by prioritizing existing materials and creating pieces that bring not only color but also a real awareness in our consumer choices.
I have always found that ethical clothing often goes with neutral colors. So I wanted to remedy it by proposing more colorful and cheerful pieces.

How do you define Studio Marguerite ?

Studio Marguerite is a clothing brand that combines colors and responsible handcraft. We offer unique pieces, designed with care and in a more respectful approach to our planet. Each garment is designed to bring joy and style with modern cuts.

What inspires you to create pieces of clothing ?

I like to look at children’s fashion these days but also go back in time and see how I was dressed when I was little in the 90s. It was very colorful and very pop. I like this vintage side that I also try to bring it out by small touches.

What do you like tHE most and the leAST as a Fashion Designer ?

What I like the most is starting from scratch, having freedom of expression, and seeing the evolution of the garment creation over the weeks. Concretely, what I like to do for my brand is searching for fabrics and buttons, I spend hours there to find the most beautiful fabrics.

What I like the least is the pressure of trends. I try not to follow them but it’s hard not to be totally influenced (consciously or unconsciously).

What ARE your favorite CLOTHES OF Studio Marguerite and Why ?

The red Pantalon Laurie because it is a strong piece that makes a whole outfit and in addition to that, it is super comfortable. The red Veste Charlie because it makes any outfit much more cheerful and unique !

For who Studio Marguerite is made for ?

For all women who are between size 34 and 44, for the moment. For women all around the world who want to have strong pieces of clothing in their dressing room, who love comfort, who want to differentiate themselves, and who want to buy a more virtuous fashion !
